During the winter holidays, our class went to Agra.

We visited the famous Taj Mahal - a monument that the Emperor Shahjahan had built in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.

Tourists from all over the world come to see this architectural wonder, made of white marble and originally adorned with precious gems.

Built on the left bank of the river Yamuna it is a proud tribute to the genius of a bygone ‘age and an everlasting symbol of a lost culture.

Agra also has a fort where Shahjahan was imprisoned by his son Aurangze.

Agra city is a modern place with a flourishing tourist trade.

We visited the Sardar Bazar, Nai Ki Mandi, Rambagh, Dayal Bagh Temple of the Radha Swami religion, Juma Masjid and China Tomb.

In this modern age, man's greatest enemy is pollution the first explosion of Atom Bomb, humankind exper horror of pollution.

Even today, the effects of that e is in the atmosphere around Nagasaki and Hiroshima

The man has reached the peak of achievement with the help of scientific invention.

But these inventions have left the man lonely amidst the pollution.

To day, we do not get pure air, water and food.

Air is polluted by the smoke and gas produced by vehicles and factories.

Water is polluted by the release of chemicals, dirt, dirty water and garbage in the rivers.

Insecticides are sprinkled on the crops and vegetables.

So we do not get pure food.

Air, water and food are the basic necessity of a human being.

Forests are destroyed and we become the victim of carbon dioxide.

Sound pollution is caused by the noise of moving vehicles, flying aeroplanes, whistles of mills, factories etc.

Who is responsible for this?

The man is responsible.

Only the man can find out its solution.

 Gandhinagar 

Gandhinagar is the capital of Guiarat.

It is 32 kms. northeast from Ahmedabad.

It is situated on the bank of the Sabarman.

Gandhinagar is divided into 30 sectors.

Each sector has a residential area, a primary school, a primary health center, a garden and a shopping center.

The Vidhansabha Gruh is in sector no. 10 A.

There is a big statue of Mahatma Gandhi in front of it.

There are many places of interest like the Children's park, the Deer Park, the Sarika Udyan, the Amusement park, Panchdev Mandir, Mosque, Gurukul Temple, Akshardham Temple and the Roman Catholic Church.

Gandhinagar has many treelined roads and open grounds, so it is free from pollution.

We can see greenery everywhere. The atmosphere of Gandhinagar is peaceful.
